Airline offers new flights and aims to carry 1m passengers
Budget airline Ryanair has announced a multi-million project to boost the number of flights it operates from the North East's biggest airport.
The firm is to base a third Boeing 737 8-200 at Newcastle Airport this winter-aiming to deliver 120,000 additional seats and five new routes.
The move is part of a £222.5m investment at the publicly-owned airport by Ryanair—which will also be offering new flights to Brussels, Budapest, Gdańsk, Malta and Wrocław-with the aim of carrying one million passengers.
