Pumpkins, bats, skeletons, ghosts, ghouls, tricks or treats — all are included in the celebration of Halloween, October 31.

It is a worldwide celebration. In the UK, Halloween becomes bigger each year with houses decorated and children and young people going door to door, holding out sweet baskets and saying: “Trick or treat.”

The callers are often in fancy dress and neighbours usually have sweets and choclates to hand out.

Other Halloween traditions include apple-bopping and pumpkin carving.
