Literally, books that are legends
From ancient Greek stories to English folklore, myths and legends have fired imaginations and inspired authors.
Myths and Legends Day is celebrated annually on October 11. Here are my recommendations for titles to read:
1 The Penelopiad-Margaret Atwood
Penelope. Immortalised in legend and myth as the devoted wife of the glorious Odysseus. In this re-inaginging, she wanders the underworld, spinning a tale of lust, greed and murder.
