Keeping pets safe and healthy as the autumn bites

It's the autumn season, and, although this time of year can be beautiful, it's important to be aware of the seasonal dangers that could be harmful to your pet.

There are many plants and fungi to watch out for, especially at this time of the year when they can be plentiful. Not all pets react the same way and not all plants or fungi are equally as toxic, so it's best to avoid any unknown flora altogether.

Autumnal plants and fungi to watch out for including those that are very dangeroussmall amounts could be fatal:

Yew (Taxus baccata)

Oleander (Nerium oleander-indoors or outdoors)

Amaryllis (Hippeastrum species)
