Dashing through the... not snow, shopping centre

Nearly 200 people from across city put on their antlers and Christmas costumes to take part in the annual Reindeer Dash, raising over £2,500 for the heart charity the Red Sky Foundation.

Each year The Bridges in Sunderland hosts the 1km fun run to celebrate the arrival of the festive season when children and parents dressed as reindeer run two laps around the centre - the equivalent of 1km.

They were joined by cast members from the Sunderland Empire panto, the Grinch and even Father Christmas himself, who also made time to see all the youngsters in his grotto.
