Brazen shop thief racially abused girl and owners

A brazen thief who stole a crate of Stella Artois told a shop assistant: "I'm just going to walk out with this. You can call the police if you like.

Drunk Carl Minto went into his local Premier shop in Sunderland, where he was a regular, on the afternoon of July 20.

A university student was looking after the store for her parents, and told her he would be taking the lager without paying.

The shop assistant tried to stop Minto from leaving with the crate.

The altercation continued outside, where the student's arm was caught in the door, and she was racially abused.
