Be prepared for climate change

I was a Boy Scout 60 years ago and I remember the motto 'Be Prepared'.

It means being ready for any situation by thinking ahead.

It's about physical readiness and thoughtful planning for potential problems. And for many years, UK governments have stated that all homes should be prepared for an emergency (see their helpful website). But prepared for what and how? Let me give some examples.

Of course, we have experienced strong winds and storms before, but climate change is making them more frequent and severe.
