100 firms sign up to scheme to give workers more protection

More than 100 firms in the North East have signed up to a scheme aimed at giving employees more rights and protections.

The Mayor's employer accreditation scheme - Shine - has seen over 100 organisations register in just two months and generated “significant interest” from North East businesses.
Shine is a free accreditation programme that helps local employers improve working conditions, promote inclusivity and support employee wellbeing.
