RETIRED school principal, Jones Ramsahai, will climb the highest mountain in Africa to raise funds for his old school.
Ramsahai, 65, plans to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, in September.
Mount Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, is also the highest freestanding mountain above sea level in the world, at 5895m above sea level and 4900m above its plateau base.
The former principal of Montarena Secondary said he was looking forward to the eight-day adventure with his son Shayen.
“This is an adventure that I decided to undertake. Eight months after I retired, my wife passed away. She and I were well-travelled and were looking forward to doing more.
