Smith hailed his North Shields heroes as the Robins moved into the last 16 of the FA Vase with a thoroughly deserved 2-0 win at North West Counties Premier Division club Chadderton.After a nervy opening half hour, Brandon Slater fired the Robins in front with a clinical finish beyond hosts goalkeeper Morgan Bacon.
It was an advantage that they maintained until the final ten minutes - when they scored again.
