CONSETT secured what could be a precious win at fellow strugglers Blyth Spartans on Friday night.

The Steelmen took a deserved lead on 11 minutes as Isaac Walker came back to haunt his old club before Spartans caused their own downfall.
An awful defensive error allowed Donny Holdsworth to double Consett’s advantage seven minutes after the break.
