Cabbie's on road to a fit future after weight loss

OVERINDULGING on big bars of chocolate and share bags of crisps, this North East taxi driver said her lifestyle had become "lazy and unhealthy".

Joanne Ferry had fallen into a routine of late-night snacking, takeaways and very little exercise.

"I'd go to bed with a share bag of crisps and a big bar of chocolate", said the mum-of-two, from Stanley.

She added: "Crisps and chocolate were my go-to, and I relied heavily on takeaways.

"I was like a bottomless pit and nothing ever seemed to fill me. I knew something needed to change but I also knew trying to do it alone just wouldn't work."
