OLIVER'S ON POLE WHEN LEWIS EXITS

LEWIS HAMILTON is the first British driver for more than two decades to race full-time for Ferrari - but another talented Brit has begun to bloom for them, and the timing's perfect.

Next year, Ferrari will arrive at a crossroads with seven-time World champion Hamilton, who will be turning 41 in January.

If their car is competitive and Hamilton finds his groove, they will all be delighted.

But if it turns out to be his final year in F1, Ferrari look increasingly likely to turn to the man of the moment: Oliver Bearman.

He was just a teenager when he made his F1 debut for Ferrari last year, scoring points when Carlos Sainz was struck down with appendicitis.
