CHILLING CCTV footage reveals two grinning Midland prisoners leaving a cell after savagely beating a fellow inmate to death at a prison.
Ashirie Smith, 19, and Thierry Robinson, 21, launched a brutal assault on Mahir Abdulrahman, 31, at HMP Fosse Way in Leicestershire on 20 August last year.
The victim was discovered unresponsive by a female prison officer inside his cell, suffering from severe head injuries after being kicked and having his neck stamped on.
He later died from his injuries at the scene due to a bleed on the brain.
Abdulrahman, who was serving a 35-week sentence for a sexual offence, had expressed a desire to be rehoused from his cell the day before his demise due to fears for his personal safety.
