Unhappy fans storm off as Dunhill halted after 20mins of play

THOUSANDS of golf fans were left questioning their treatment after Dunhill Links Championship chiefs went head-to-head with Storm Amy - and ended up with a bloody nose.

Despite dire warnings of gusts of up to 65mph, the organisers pressed ahead with the third round with a 12.30pm start yesterday.

But after waiting patiently for play at the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, spectators were rewarded with just 20 minutes of action.
