Two more arrests in gang probe

Operation Portaledge number reaches 52

DETECTIVES investigating a gangland turf war have made two further arrests, taking the total to 52.

Operation Portaledge officers arrested a man in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, on Friday.

He is the third suspect in connection with the attempted murder of businessman David McMillan in Edinburgh in May.

McMillan, 54, a close pal of Edinburgh cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson, 38, was allegedly attacked with machetes outside his house in Pitcairn Grove.

The 49-year-old has also been charged in connect ion with drug offences. He is due at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
