MSP ASH Regan has urged the Scottish Government to enforce the law on women's rights to single-sex spaces without delay in the wake of the Sandie Peggie tribunal.

Time is up for SNP..women's rights are not negotiable

Regan's comments come following a partial win by the veteran nurse, who was suspended by NHS Fife after complaining about having to share a changing room with transgender medic Dr Beth Upton.

The judgment last week, found Peggie, 56, from Glenrothes, had been unlawfully harassed by health bosses after the incident at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on Christmas Eve 2023.

Regan, who sits as an independent, said: "The Scottish Government must now act without delay. Delaying tactics and claims of complexity must end, decisive action is required.

Women's sex-based rights to safety, dignity and privacy are not negotiable."
