Easy for Thelin's men as Yengi bags first
KUSINI YENGI silenced his critics as he helped fire Aberdeen into the last eight.
Jimmy Thelin's Scottish Cup winners were tipped to face a tricky afternoon in Greenock after two league defeats without scoring to start their Premiership season.
That saw the pressure cranked up on new striker Yengi and he responded with his first goal for the club.
That 37th-minute effort added to skipper-for-the-day Sivert Nilsen's opener as the Dons completely outclassed Ton.
Sub Leighton Clarkson added a third as the stroll in the sun proved the perfect warm-up for Thursday's Europa League playoff with FCSB.
Dons took an early grip of the game with Shayden Morris - on his first start of the season - looking sharp.
He went close with a volley from Alexander Jensen's cross that was blocked before on-loan Sunderland midfielder Adil Aouchiche headed straight at keeper James Storer.
But the breakthrough came just two minutes later.
