GET your whites at the ready, Wimbledon 2025 starts tomorrow and, as usual, it heralds a summer of sport.

As well as the world’s greatest tennis tournament, there is the Women's Football Euros, the Tour de France, the British Grand Prix and The Open.

To whet your appetite, here are 10 brilliant sporting British movies..

BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM 2002The movie inspired a generation of girls to take up football. Starring Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra as two teenagers who chase their dreams of becoming professional players despite their parents' wishes. Beckham doesn't have a cameo in this comedy though. Best line: "All I'm saying is, there's a reason why Sporty Spice is the only one without a fella!"
