RIVAL crowdfunders set up for a nurse and a trans doctor locked in a legal wrangle over female changing rooms have closed after raising almost £45,000 from their respective supporters.

Nurse Sandie Peggie is suing NHS Fife after she was suspended over objecting to having to change in front of trans doctor Beth Upton on Christmas Eve 2023.

The appeal for the nurse who has worked at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for 30 years saw 2288 donors from across the globe chip in £38,555 in just 42 days.
