POLICE were called to domestic abuse incidents 5945 times between December 1, 2024, and January 3, 2025.

The Police Scotland figures were released to the Scottish Lib Dems.

Scottish Lib Dem deputy leader Wendy Chamberlain said the figures gave a “terrifying” sense of the scale of the issue.
