Sri Lanka and Singapore Formalize Cross-Border Collaboration in Higher Education

The National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education of Sri Lanka have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in the higher education sector, Sri Lanka's High Commission said in a news release last week.

The MoU was signed by Professor Aaron Thien, Provost of NUS, at a brief ceremony held at the NUS campus on May 5, 2025. The signed document was formally handed over to the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore, Senarath Dissanayake, for onward transmission to the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education of Sri Lanka for endorsement, it said.
