City want Reds target Marc

MANCHESTER CITY will consider joining the battle for Marc Guehi - if centre-backs Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake are sold this week.

Crystal Palace central defender Guehi is already a target for Liverpool, Tottenham and Barcelona and has only a year remaining on his contract.

And the Sunday Express can reveal that the England defender, 25, is being discussed at The Etihad as a potential £35million target, if Pep Guardiola loses Akanji and Ake from his squad.

Guardiola yesterday saw his side’s defensive frailties exposed as they were beaten 2-0 at home against Tottenham.
