TV show tells how Army deals with rule-breakers
A SOLDIER who skipped his duties to make packed lunches for his younger siblings was punished for going Awol.
While the soldier's identity has not been disclosed, Colonel Mike Fielder, from the Military Corrective Training Centre, in Colchester, Essex, said he would be treated with "understanding".
The centre is the subject of a new Channel 5 show. It is the first time the veil has been lifted on military corrections since a documentary in 1994 and it shows how things have changed.
