Simplifying the business under L&G's umbrella
Sunday Express
|March 15, 2026
L&G's full-year results were a mixed bag.
Some parts did a little better than expected, others were slightly weaker. In the end, the overall picture was close to what the market had been hoping for.The soft share price reaction on the day looked a bit harsh, but the road ahead remains positive as management works to simplify the business.
L&G operates in three main areas: retirement, retail savings and asset management. The group is in the middle of a cleanup job. It is selling some smaller, non-core businesses and has recently combined its public and private asset management arms.
The aim is to make the company easier to run and easier for investors to understand.
