NEW ROLE BUT SAME OUTCOME FOR ANGE

ARSENAL welcomed Ange Postecoglou back as if he’d never been away.

Nottingham Forest's new boss has never beaten them - and never looked likely to do so here either.

Goals from Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres either side of halftime quickly took this one away from the Aussie.

The former Tottenham boss will have better days, and it will take time for his new players to get used to his style of play.

But while they fought like tigers there was no stopping Arsenal, who added a third with another from Zubimendi before it was over. The only dark spot was another injury to skipper Martin Odegaard who now joins key man Bukayo Saka again in the treatment room.

Mikel Arteta's men needed this after being questioned in their defeat to title rivals Liverpool and their fans loved every minute.

They chanted “Cheer up Postecoglou’, “You're getting sacked in the morning” and “Are you Tottenham in disguise?
