Kamala clinches nomination and takes lead over Trump

KAMALA Harris will face Donald Trump as she bids to become America’s first female President.
The Vice-President clinched the Democratic Party’s nomination to replace Joe Biden in November’s bitter election battle.
And yesterday she said she is “honoured” ahead of this month’s National Convention in Chicago which will rubber-stamp the move.
She comfortably passed the threshold of 2,350 delegate votes required in a video “roll call” that does not close until tomorrow.
Her campaign has electrified Democrat voters since President Biden, 81, announced last month that he is standing down from the race and will not seek re-election.
