Jenrick calls for school fees VAT relief for 'brave' Armed Forces

TORY leadership candidate Robert Jenrick made a late plea to force families to be spared VAT on school fees.

He denounced the plans as "the pure politics of envy" and said that "Labour's class war against private schools will do nothing to improve the state sector".

The former immigration minister, who on Friday outlined his defence policy in a speech in London, said it is the "families of our brave military personnel abroad who will be most affected".
