Jai's dream double does Parker proud
Sunday Express
|April 06, 2025
SCOTT PARKER spoke of his pride as Burnley moved to the top of the Championship with a victory which stretched their unbeaten league run to 27 games.
Hall Wright controversially opened the scoring after five minutes before Jaidon Anthony scored either side of half-time.
Jack Rudoni's shot was tipped onto the post by Burnley keeper James Trafford, then Ephron Mason-Clark's follow-up was blocked and the ball fell kindly for Wright to smash home from close range, though he was clearly in an offside position.
Parker's side were level on 16 minutes when Josh Cullen squared to Lyle Foster and his flick allowed Anthony to slot into an empty net.
