Belle of ballroom Katherine put me off Strictly, says Ross

TV presenter Ross King has blamed opera singer Katherine Jenkins - and his age ~ for putting off entering Strictly Come Dancing until this year.

The entertainment reporter, paired with professional dancer Jowita Przystal, revealed he initially turned down a spot on the BBC contest because he thought he had two left feet.

This was partly down to seeing Welsh diva Katherine, below, performing well on America’s Dancing with the Stars, before she came second on the 2012 series.

Ross said: “It definitely was not an immediate ‘yes’ and I have got Katherine Jenkins to thank for that.”
