Angus in £250,000 row-round-Britain charity ordeal

A MENTAL health campaigner and athlete has begun a bid to become the first person to row non-stop, solo and unsupported around Britain.

Angus Collins, 35, who set off from Portsmouth Harbour yesterday, wants to raise £250,000 for men's suicide prevention charity James' Place.

The perilous, never-completed challenge will see Angus - the youngest man to break world records rowing across the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic oceans - face an 18-hour-a-day ordeal for nearly 2,000 miles.
