Wallace High U15 girls miss out on Scottish Shield after penalties

It was to be penalty heartbreak for Wallace High's under-15 girls side as they were edged out in a nerve-shredding Scottish Shield final on Friday evening.

The team had been hoping to emulate the school’s senior girls side in bringing home the national silverware at the Falkirk Stadium.

But after a stellar campaign through to the final, where they had scored nine goals in each of their matches until prevailing in a shootout in the semi-final - they found the test from Motherwell’s Braidhurst High to be a strong one.
