Craigforth House is targeted by vandals
Stirling Observer
|May 16, 2025
Vandals have smashed windows and daubed graffiti on the white facade of Stirling's historic Craigforth House.
Residents walking through the former Prudential campus spotted the damage to the 17th century B-listed building last week and pointed to a lack of security.
It also appears that several caravans are now parked there.
Developers Ambassador Group were granted planning permission in principle for the 54 hectare former site comprising new offices, retail space, residential accommodation, care home, nursery and leisure facilities in July last year.
B-listed Craigforth House is to be converted into a hotel under the plans.
Walkers passing through the area claimed that demolition work on former office buildings appears to have halted and there was no sign of on-site security.
One told the Observer: "The demolition of the former Scottish Amicable/Prudential buildings looked to have stalled.
