From an enemy to a friend — Stirling Albion's latest recruit is ready to bang in the goals for the Binos after being a major thorn in their side.

- STUART MCFARLANE

Towering forward Russell McLean is the next name to sign on the dotted line for Alan Maybury's side, joining back up with the Irishman after a stint playing under him with Edinburgh City in 2023.

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a strong resume over the years, with a stint at Peterhead seeing him turn out more than 100 times for the Blue Toon and scoring 38 times.

He also had time at Montrose where he scored 12 goals and has spent the last two seasons at Forfar Athletic, scoring seven times in 27 appearances for the Loons in the 24/25 campaign.

The Albion fans will be particularly aware of his talents, with McLean having found the net five times against Stirling last season - including a hat-trick in the memorable 3-3 Scottish Cup draw in January.
