Suspects remanded for firearm, attempted murder and possession of ammunition

Two suspects, facing charges for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as attempted murder, have been remanded to Pollsmoor Prison until Friday, January 23, when a formal bail application will be heard.

Sergeant Wesley Twigg, provincial police spokesperson, said: "Continued efforts to combat gang violence in the Steenberg policing precinct yielded results on Thursday, January 1, when police arrested two suspects following a high-speed chase."
