MARKO Stamenic could hardly have chosen a better time to watch Swansea City in action for the first time.

SWANS TURN ON THE STYLE FOR NEW BOY

The Kiwi midfielder is poised to join Swansea from Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal in the coming days.

He was in the stands for Saturday's win over Sheffield United, and is likely to have been excited at the quality his new side delivered.

“Marko will be in,’ said head coach Alan Sheehan continued.

“Marko's a player we've been after for a while. He'll bring some physicality, athleticism, and he’s another international coming into the building.

“He showed a real willingness, and he’s a real good character, which is so important because we want to bring in players and we sometimes want them in sooner.

“But getting the right people for what we're trying to do was so important for the football club. We can’t just sign anybody. It’s got to be the right ones that fit into our group and how we want to play.

“So to bring Marko in is a really good signing.
