Moriarty raring to go as Ospreys kick off in South Africa
South Wales Evening Post
|September 27, 2025
ROSS Moriarty is raring to go as he prepares to make his Ospreys debut against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld at lunchtime today (kickoff: 1pm UK time).
The Wales back-row joined the Ospreys from Brive this summer, slotting straight into the starting XV as they begin their season with a daunting trip to South Africa.
First up for Mark Jones’ side is the Bulls in Pretoria, followed by a clash with the Stormers in Cape Town.
Wales’ summer captain Dewi Lake leads the side, with club captain Jac Morgan flying out to South Africa late following his exploits with the British and Irish Lions in Australia.
He’s joined by Garyn Phillips and Tom Botha in the front-row, with Rhys Davies and James Fender starting in the second-row.
Harri Deaves and Morgan Morse, who narrowly missed out on a Wales call-up in the summer, start in the back-row alongside new signing Moriarty.
