First Minister broke rules
South Wales Evening Post
|July 11, 2025
ELUNED Morgan broke the Senedd’s rules by failing to declare during a Senedd debate that she had previously received money from a trade union, it has been ruled.
During a discussion in the Senedd she spoke about Tata's Port Talbot steelworks but did not declare she had previously received £3,500 in sponsorship from the union.
While the donation is recorded online in Mrs Morgan's entry on the Senedd's register of interests, before Senedd members speak they have to refer to any interests, financial or otherwise, they have which could have a bearing on their contribution.
