SOUTH Africa coach Rassie Erasmus says there's no reason why the Rugby Championship shouldn't be played at the same time as the Six Nations.

From next year, the new Nations Championship will see the world’s top sides from both hemispheres competing against each other throughout the year.
However, a truly global calendar will never happen with the Rugby Championship taking place later in the year than the Six Nations.
“It's just my opinion, but I think it would be fantastic if we can all play the Rugby Championship when the Six Nations is on,” said Erasmus.
“It would be so much easier to know other teams, to be all aligned. Not having some countries flat in June and others peaking in November, and then we are flat in November.
