SICELO HLATSHWAYO - UNATTACHED (PART 2)
The first story I can think of is when I was at Golden Arrows. We were coached by Mabhuti Khenyeza. He was a very funny guy. There was a player we played with at Arrows, but I can't mention his name. So, coach Mabhuti was always fighting with this player. That guy liked to run with the ball, the same way Lionel Messi does when he carries the ball.
This guy was playing as a number eight, where you don't get a lot of space to run with the ball. There was a time when we were playing against TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup and this player had done the same thing in the previous game against Kaizer Chiefs. He did it and lost the ball, so when we played against Galaxy, he got the ball on the right wing. Instead of going forward or passing to someone in midfield, he ran backwards with the ball, toward our own goalkeeper. They were pressing him, and coach Mabhuti was like, "Haybo, uyahlanya lo? Uyaphi? (Is this one crazy? Where is he going?), ha, ha, ha.
Ha, ha, ha...
He was like, "Wenzani?" (What are you doing?). He was shouting and he looked at everyone on the bench and said, "Is this guy crazy?"
Imagine if they scored. Coach Khenyeza would have gone nuts, ha, ha, ha.

Adams faces race against time
Jayden Adams' international future hangs in the balance, and the countdown has officially begun. With just one month remaining before Hugo Broos finalises his squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, the 24-year-old midfielder finds himself in a position few would have predicted two years ago. Once a rising star of Stellenbosch FC and a standout performer at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast, Adams now faces the harsh reality of reduced game time at Mamelodi Sundowns and uncertainty around his Bafana Bafana role. The player who earned his way into Broos' plans through hard work and consistency has slipped into unfamiliar territory at club level, and his national team prospects have dimmed as a result. The Siya crew has been tracking his situation closely, uncovering worrying signs behind the scenes as Adams fights to keep his AFCON dream alive.
