RAC says the Budget brings short-lived relief for motorists

Motoring experts have warned drivers to brace themselves for higher running costs next year.

Both the RAC and AA issued the prices warning after last week's Budget announcement that the 5p per litre cut in fuel duty - introduced in March 2022 - will only be extended until the end of next August - and electric car (EV) drivers are likely to face a 3p per mile charge.
