Shields Gazette
|November 12, 2025
The Friends of Hebburn Cemetery have held their annual Remembrance programme.
Saturday and Sunday marked the start of the Friends’ annual Remembrance programme - which saw thousands turn out to pay their respects.
The weekend got under way on Saturday evening with the poppy light show at the cemetery, which also saw military vehicles from the Royal British Legion.
Then on Remembrance Sunday morning, the Hebburn held its yearly Remembrance service, with wreaths laid at the Kelly Grave and a period of silence observed.
