Pygmalion May 30 & 31

Prose & Concepts come to The Stag for the first time to perform a three show production of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in The Plaza.

The show famously evolved into a 1956 stage musical, then the 1964 musical film My Fair Lady.

Set in 1912, the play opens in Covent Garden with cockney flower seller Eliza Doolittle being unwittingly analysed by phonetics professor Henry Higgins, a Sherlock Holmes of deciphering accents.

Higgins makes a bet with his friend that he can transform Eliza into a beautifully eloquent lady who can pass as a Duchess at an upcoming Embassy Ball.

Performing at 7.30pm on Friday and 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday.
