Closing in on Summer Festival's grand finale after 16 great days

SUMMER Festival '25 finishes this weekend with a fitting climax to its 16 days of events. What a treat it has been to see the Festival Flags fluttering in the High Street, London Road and elsewhere and to enjoy a host of performances from local groups and celebrities that lift the spirits and brighten our days.

Last Saturday was centred in the Vine Gardens, where Colourscape, Painting for Fun and Sevenoaks Art Club's exhibition were undoubted successes, delighting the many families enjoying the summer sunshine.
The Sevenoaks Society’s Community Open Day in Stag Plaza featured enlightening talks from Lord Sackville and Katey Bell and the afternoon featured Ty Watling in the Anchor.
In the evening, patrons enjoyed the Armed Forces Day Concert, Sevenoaks Philharmonic Choir and Sevenoaks Symphony Orchestra's joint concert, and the third performance of Much Ado About Nothing by Sevenoaks Shakespeare Society in the open-air at The White Rock Inn, Under-river.
