LAURA Milne's regrets over giving her eldest daughter Klara, 16, a smartphone at 11 mean she's determined her 13-year-old twins, Sam and Eva, will go without.

"I'm going to hold off as long as I can," says Laura, 54, who works at London's Institute of Cancer Research. "If the twins want to arrange to see their friends, the family has a spare phone locked away. They have to come and ask when they want to use it.
