THE King maintained his impeccable manners yesterday as he came face-to-face with a giant gorilla puppet.
When the marionette proffered its hand, Charles grinned and squeezed it, to the delight of onlookers.
The monarch had his wild encounter while visiting a nature and finance reception at London’s Lancaster House.
He had just watched a performance by the gorilla and four other life-size animal puppets — including a zebra and lioness.
