ALEX was faced with a 50-mile journey for treatment after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2023.

In that time, she met others affected by differences in cancer care, from waiting times to ease of diagnosis.

Alex, 62, said: "Living in rural Perthshire did mean we had some distance to travel, but we were lucky we had the transport and the means to do things ourselves.
