Vic's happy to be on road and the miles from Dundee

DUNDEE UNITED'S Vicko Sevelj is delighted to be taking part in the British festive football tradition that was part of his Christmas experience growing up.

The Croatian will feature in United's live televised derby against Aberdeen at a sold-out Pittodrie this evening.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who has featured in central defence in recent weeks, said: “It's something that when you were with family at home, you always watched games on Boxing Day.

“In Europe I don't know if anyone else is playing but here of course everyone has heard about Boxing Day and the English and Scottish games are always on the TV. Since I was a kid I always had it on my TV.
