THE past master of the idle threat has done it again but this time in spades.
By saying Ukraine is not far from recovering its territories lost to Russia, Donald Trump is just rattling the bars of the bear's cage ("Kyiv 'can win back its land from Russia'", Scottish Daily Express, September 24).
What the US President hopes to gain from that is anyone's guess, apart from enraging Russian President Vladimir Putin and aggravating the situation.
