PRESIDENT Donald Trump is halfway through his four-day trip to Scotland — where, as he reminded us, his mother was born and a meeting with Sir Keir Starmer saw him put our PM on the ropes.

At a conference at his Turnberry golf course, Mr Trump stuck it to Sir Keir in his inimitable style, telling the Prime Minister that he should cut taxes, slash illegal immigration and protect our farms if he is to have any chance of beating Reform UK's leader Nigel Farage.
